06/18/2016 Colors according to Vastushastra play a vital role in bringing balance to our minds as well as bodies and to stimulate our energy. Therefore colors in a Home, Office, Factory & Shop should be coordinated with the colors of respective planets and elements associated with different directions. Colors influence our body and mind very much. The purest and most thoughtful minds are those, which love colors the most.
To enhance the energy flow around every individual in the related area, here are some guidelines on particular colors to help you to choose the right Vastu colors for every room.

Bed room: Use Light colors for bed rooms. Pink, blue, green, gray and lavender in their lighter shades are suitable and induce good sleep. Pink or cream colored tiles or marble are good for flooring.
Kitchen: It must have some tinge of red in it indicating fire. You can make use of utensils, or any other items. White or blue are suitable for walls and flooring.

Guest room: For a pleasant atmosphere prefer yellow, green, blue, orange or lavender in their lighter shades.

Study room: To improve concentration and memory power opt for green, blue, light purple.

Children's room: Use bright colors for baby rooms eg. pink, blue, yellow, orange or purple.

Bath room & Toilet: White, light gray, pink or any pastel shade is suitable.

Green drives away anxiety, blue cures insomnia, red solves your over weight problem, orange improves your appetite, pink relieves from tension and yellow improves memory.
Avoid using bright colors on walls facing South and West windows and doors, as they reflect light and cause glare. Keep those doors and windows closed during day time so that the bright rays do not reflect in the room. Rooms with poor daylight should be painted in light color and apply any dark shade for rooms with good amount of natural light throughout the day.
If your room has only a North window, which admits cold light, avoid using blue on the walls. For rooms getting much direct sunlight, it is not advisable to paint the walls yellow or peach. Always have ceilings white and its temperature should be less than the human body temperature.

You can apply any colours of your choice & taste, but try to incorporate any one of the major significant colours or if not colour then at least try to keep any object of that particular colour as a symbolic representation on one of the walls in that room or direction.
