Majha Morya was founded in 2017 with a vision to revolutionize the way people buy Ganesh idols for Ganesh Chaturthi. Based in Mumbai, the heart of Ganesh Utsav celebrations, we recognized a growing problem—devotees faced overpriced idols, limited choices, parking issues, and long queues during the festive season. Many idol makers operated locally, making it difficult for customers across India to access quality, handcrafted Ganpati murtis.
Seeing this gap, we established Majha Morya Ganesh Idols, an online platform that allows customers from all over India to browse, pre-book, and get their Ganpati Bappa idols delivered to their doorstep. We started by collaborating with local artisans in Maharashtra, ensuring that traditional craftsmanship reached a wider audience without compromising on authenticity.

Expanding Reach – Covering All Tier 1 Cities & Highway RoutesBy 2019, Majha Morya expanded its operations, covering not just Mumbai, Pune, and Thane but also delivering idols to Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and more. We strategically designed our delivery routes along national highways, ensuring seamless distribution across cities and towns.
Our delivery network evolved into two primary models:
- Direct Tier 1 City Deliveries – Idols are sent directly from Mumbai to major cities with dedicated logistics.
- Highway Route Deliveries – Covering all cities and villages along major national highways leading to Tier 1 cities, ensuring maximum reach.
This pan-India accessibility set us apart from traditional idol sellers and cemented our reputation as a trusted Ganesh idol supplier.
Going Digital – Website, Mobile Apps & Social Media PresenceIn 2020, we launched our official website (majhamorya.in) along with two mobile apps:
Alongside our website and apps, we established a strong social media presence, amassing 75,000+ followers across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Through live videos, customer testimonials, and behind-the-scenes glimpses, we built a community of devoted customers who return to us every year.
Scaling Up – Revenue Growth & Operational StrengthBetween 2020-2024, Majha Morya saw a 20% year-over-year growth, with annual revenue reaching ₹25 lakh. Our 25-member team worked tirelessly to expand operations, enhance customer support, and introduce eco-friendly innovations in idol making.
Despite facing operational challenges such as inventory shortages, weather-related delays, and power outages, we remained resilient. To tackle these issues, we:
- Optimized inventory management to ensure idol availability throughout the season.
- Built a dedicated fleet for last-mile deliveries to minimize dependency on third-party logistics.
- Implemented real-time tracking so customers could monitor their orders.
