The developments in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Jaipur (Rajasthan) comprise large-format integrated cities that have been planned to be self-contained, with co-located industrial, residential and commercial infrastructure. Spread over 4500 acres (approx.), MWC Chennai and MWC Jaipur encompass dedicated Special Economic Zones, Domestic Tariff Areas and Residential and Social spaces. The Mahindra World City concept is synonymous with sustainable urban development; both the Mahindra World Cities have been developed on environment-friendly principles and drive community growth and economic development. Together, MWC Chennai and MWC Jaipur are the chosen business destinations for 160+ premier companies such as BMW, JCB, Renault Nissan, Deutsche Bank, Ball Corporation, NCR, Perto, Emerson, Lincoln Electric, Capgemini, Timken, BASF etc. from over 20 countries; and have created direct employment for more than 50,000 persons so far.

Origins by Mahindra World City

In 2017, Mahindra Lifespaces launched its industrial clusters brand – ORIGINS by Mahindra World City. The developments in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Ahmedabad (Gujarat) comprise of world class industrial clusters which will address the growing need for sustainable industrial infrastructure to provide impetus to India’s rising prowess as a global manufacturing and investment destination. The first cluster i.e. Origins by Mahindra World City, Chennai with a Phase 1 development of ~300 acres, is a joint venture between Mahindra World City Chennai and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan. It has already signed 3 customers i.e. Yanmar, Nissei and Usui. The second cluster Origins by Mahindra World City, Ahmedabad spans across 340 acres, and is being developed along with International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a strategic partner. Together, these industrial clusters are expected to create direct employment for around 20000 persons and will target companies across the engineering, medical equipment, food processing and logistics sectors, amongst other
