Kaushalya Medical Foundation was formed in 1985 to fulfill the demand of increasing healthcare needs of Thane city and district. The founders of the trust Dr H S Bhanushali , Dr M V Sohoni and Dr (Mrs) A H Bhanushali had envisioned that affordable medical treatment particularly for surgical fields like General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynaecology, etc were needed for the fast growing middle class bastion that is- Thane and surrounding areas and hence the name “Kaushalya” which denoted the skill that the doctors use to perform a surgery was chosen.
