Kakal Kai Ruchi is a legacy Indian food brand rooted in tradition, passion, and authentic cuisine. Its story began in 1970 as a small hostel mess in Heggodu (Shivamogga District), serving authentic Carnatic feasts to locals and students.
Over the years, the business evolved through the dedication and love for food shown by the founding family—particularly Mr. Sathish Kakal, who nurtured his passion for food while assisting in the family catering business during his childhood, and later with his wife Mrs. Chaya Kakal, known for her natural flair for nutritious cooking.
In 2001–2010, this passion expanded into Utsav Catering Company, a successful institutional catering service in Bengaluru that provided over 200 million meals.
