Standard AC Motors:

Standard AC motors operate by simply connecting a capacitor and supplying power from a commercial power source. Standard AC motors include the basic induction motor and reversible motor. In addition, Oriental Motor offers electromagnetic brake motors, synchronous motors, torque motors, AC speed control motors and watertight motors to meet specific application requirements. Oriental Motor offers a wide variety of standard AC motors in frame sizes ranging from 1.65 inch (42 mm) to 4.09 inch (104 mm) square with output power of 1 W (1/750 HP) to 200 W (1/4 HP). There are two basic types of AC motors: standard induction motors that run continuously and reversible motors that allow for bi-directional operation. AC motors with additional functionality are also available. These types of motors include: electromagnetic brake motors to hold loads in a power-off situation; clutch & brake motors for quick starts and stops; synchronous motors and low-speed synchronous motors for a fixed speed in synchronization with the power frequency; watertight motors for applications were the motor is splashed or washed with water and torque motors for tension control and winding applications.

Stepping Motors:

Stepping motors are used to achieve precise positioning via digital control. The motor operates by accurately synchronizing with the pulse signal output from the controller to the driver. Stepping motors, with their ability to produce high torque at low speed while minimizing vibration, are ideal for applications requiring quick positioning over a short distance.

Brushless DC Motors:

High-efficiency brushless DC motors achieve high output in a compact body while embodying high-speed operation, wide speed-control range and constant torque characteristics from low speed to high speed. AC input and DC input types are available.
