07/16/2020 Municipal solid waste includes commercial and domestic wastes generated in municipal or notified areas in either solid or semi-solid form excluding industrial hazardous wastes but including treated bio-medical wastes. The purpose of this module is to learn about municipal solid waste landfills. Information will be provided that describes the components of a landfill, the processes which take place in a landfill, and basic landfill design.
