Yashoda Hospitals has evolved as a center of excellence in medicine providing the highest standard of medical care

About us

The idea of Yashoda Hospitals was born in the heart of Dr G Surender Rao, one of Hyderabad's eminent clinicians. In 1985, after an international education in medicine, he returned to India and set up a professional practice. In the next few years his practice flourished but he became increasingly frustrated by the lack of adequate hospital infrastructure for his patients. Joining forces with his brother, an established entrepreneur, he conceived the idea of a hospital that would deliver advanced, world-class, yet affordable healthcare. In a developing corporate healthcare market the largest challenge is to provide world-class healthcare at affordable prices. And it is in this aspect that Yashoda Hospitals has succeeded. The organisation has achieved profitability through a "high volume - high quality - affordable price" model of business. This approach has benefited lakhs of families and earned Yashoda Hospitals a place in the hearts of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Jayashri A. left Chennai, her hometown, with bags full of dreams and a heart full of hope. She was moving to Secunderabad to build a new life, but she faced a big challenge: finding a job in a city where the language and culture were unfamiliar to her. With a degree in Psychology and experience as a hospital ward technician, she was determined to make it work. Her first job interview at Yashoda Hospitals went surprisingly well. Despite her language barrier, her warmth and dedication won her the position of Blood Bank Coordinator. This role came with significant responsibilities—managing blood supplies, coordinating donation drives, and greeting donors—but Jayashri was up for the challenge. Her supervisors recognized her potential and provided the guidance she needed. With their support, she gained confidence and soon became a central figure at the blood bank, ensuring that all operations ran smoothly. One of her unique strengths was her ability to connect with donors. With her background in Psychology, she naturally comforted those who were nervous about giving blood. Her reassurance and explanations of the importance of donating not only calmed their nerves but also turned many into regular donors. As time went on, Jayashri's role grew. She took on more responsibilities and soon became the Blood Bank Manager. Now, she was not just managing supplies—she was leading the team, ensuring that blood donations met the needs of the community. Her dedication and genuine care for others turned her into a respected leader. For Jayashri, satisfaction is the key to success. She advises new employees to find fulfilment in their work, as it makes even the toughest tasks easier to handle. 'When you enjoy what you do, everything else falls into place,' she says.
