The Aztecs, who inhabited what is now modern-day Mexico would mash avocados and mix them with spices and herbs to create a dish similar to what we now call guacamole. 🌟Hummus Hummus isn't just a recent health food craze. Evidence suggests its origins lie in the culinary traditions of the Middle East, possibly dating back to ancient Egypt (around 3000 BC). Chickpeas, a plentiful and protein-rich crop, were likely mashed and seasoned with various ingredients like olive oil, lemon juice, and spices, forming the foundation for the creamy delight we enjoy today. 🌟Salsa  Did you know that Salsa has overtaken Ketchup in the US?  Since the early 1990s, salsa has consistently outsold ketchup annually, reflecting a shift in American palates towards bolder and spicier flavors. Made with juicy tomatoes, crisp onions, and a squeeze of citrus, salsa is the perfect way to kick up the flavor of everything from tacos to grilled chicken. 🌟Mayonnaise An 18th century French diplomat is credited with creating this creamy concoction. Following a French victory over the Spanish in Mahón (present-day Maó, Menorca), he supposedly celebrated by having his chef whip up a creamy sauce using egg yolks, olive oil, and lemon juice.
