Webinar: Customer Owned Telemetry for Utility Interconnection of DERs The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has mandated that DERs (Distributed Energy Resources) above 1MW send telemetry data to the host utility over the IEEE 2030.5 protocol. IEEE 2030.5 is a secure, scalable, and consumer-friendly application-layer protocol built upon standard Internet protocols and recommended by the IEEE 1547 standard for interconnection and interoperability of DERs with associated electric power systems interfaces. ASE has over 40 years of experience with SCADA/Utility Communications and Protocol Gateways. We have worked with PG&E to build a rugged and secure Low-Cost Customer Owner Telemetry System that meets the requirements of the CPUC.
