Disha is a center dedicated to the mental health and vocational guidance of children, adolescents and adults since 21 years. We render a variety of services, namely aptitude testing, career guidance, psychotherapy, family counseling, hypnotherapy and so forth. To help us in this endeavor we have a team of psychologists, counselors and remedial teachers. Our aim is to empower individuals to help themselves, as we believe that each individual is unique and has in him/her the potential to excel. Disha Counseling Center is happy to announce the launch of Supervision for School Counsellors. These small group supervision sessions will address the unique challenges and issues faced by school counsellors. Supervision will comprise of discussions around: - Role Challenges - Case Consultations - Confidentiality Concerns - Stakeholder Management These sessions will be facilitated by our Co-Founder, Ms. Samindara Sawant, who is a trained professional supervisor from the Indian Academy of Professional Supervisors (IAPS). Samindara’s rich experience of over 25 years, in setting up and leading the resource room in a mainstream inclusive school, as well as heading the School-College Mental Health services at Disha, gives her deep insights into the issues and concerns faced by school counsellors.
