Speaking about the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two organisations earlier this month, Digital Health lead at Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology Professor Chris Bain expressed his excitement regarding the numerous opportunities that the collaboration between The Apollo University and the Faculty will bring.
“This agreement is a first step towards sharing and developing more capabilities in the space of digital healthcare and delivery,” Professor Bain from Monash University said.
“The alliance between our two institutions and forthcoming knowledge sharing aligns with our broader shared objectives of achieving great strides with real-world implications in the field of digital health,” Professor Rentala from TAU said.

Mock drill on Choking Management First aid
The 4th semester students of BSC. EMT Program conducted a Mockdrill on Choking First Aid on 24th May 2024 under the guidance of Ms. Anwesha Paul. The scenario involved a coworker suddenly choking while eating lunch in the break room. Employees nearby quickly recognized the signs of choking and called out for help. arrived on the scene and assessed the situation. The "choking victim" was unable to cough, speak or breathe.
CPR Mock Drill
The Fifth-semester students from the Department Of Allied Health Sciences, Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) Program conducted a CPR Mockdrill in Government Hospital, Chittoor on 23rd May, 2024 under the Guidance of Dr. Pavan Kumar Reddy, HOD of Emergency Medicine, AIMSR and Ms. Anwesha Paul, Lecturer at EMT, AHS. One day Workshop on Generative AI and Big Data Analytics
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Apollo University’s School of Technology organized a workshop on May 8, 2024, to introduce intermediate students to Generative AI and Big Data Analytics. Aimed at guiding students in selecting B.Tech courses for their future careers, the event drew 200 students from Chittoor district and neighbouring areas. Outreach Program at Akshara orphanage for Mentally Challenged Children
On 6th May 2024, NSS UNITS 1 AND 2 of The Apollo University successfully conducted an outreach program at Akshara orphanage for mentally challenged children at Nadimpally, Palamner. The NSS units, under the leadership of the NSS program officers, Dr. Jakeer and Mr. Ashok have collected funds from the university staff and students and donated food items, mats, groceries, toys and other stuff for the foundation. NSS volunteers have interacted with children and spent some quality time with them. The event was coordinated by the NSS Program coordinator, Dr. D. Shahanaz.

Apollo University Hosts a guest talk on Birds and Birdwatching Led by Birdman Karthik
"Vihangam" birds and birdwatching program (April 13, 2024) was organized by the Apollo University Photography, Trekking, Eco, and Social Responsibility Clubs. The program was led by renowned birdwatcher Birdman Karthik and was attended by around 200 students. Birdman Karthik discussed the importance of birds in the ecosystem, highlighting their role in seed dispersal, pollination, and insect control.
