Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) has been a game-changer for shelf-life enhancement of perishable foods, be it freshly cut produce, meats, fish and even ready-to-eat meals. But for MAP systems to work effectively, selection of the right packaging materials is critical to ensure optimal moisture and gas permeation properties, sealability and machine performance. Check out AVI’s high-barrier thermoforming films and thermoformed trays designed to complement MAP’s effectiveness in preserving quality, safety and freshness. We have a range of befitting modified atmosphere packaging choices made with PET, PP and PVC materials depending on your product barrier, packing process and sustainability needs. Meet us at Stand A46 in Hall 2 during Plexconnect to discuss fresh ideas! #MAP #Packaging #SustainablePackaging #FoodSafety #Innovation #MadeInIndia #PlexConnect2024

Campus Connect with Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay: Unpacking new ideas with brilliant minds! We're excited to share the success of our recent Campus Connect program with the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Dubbed as the Industrial Design Problem (IDP), we presented talented students from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering the opportunity to tackle a real-world packaging sourcing challenge. The Challenge: Import high-recycled-content packaging from India or source locally with lower recycled content? ♻️ The students approached the case study using cradle-to-grave lifecycle analysis (LCA), offering valuable insights and recommendations to optimize the carbon footprint of AVI’s packaging and supply-chain. We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation and fresh perspectives. The insights and recommendations generated were nothing short of phenomenal! Why Campus Connect Programs Matter To Us: · Fresh ideas from young and brilliant minds · Fosters sustainability in future leaders · Challenges status quo to unpack innovation in packaging design #sustainability #packaging #collaboration #lifecyclethinking #IITBombay #AVIGlobal

Ever wondered about the extra space at the top of a packaging? It's called headspace, a term food science uses to describe the gap between the food and the top of its container. Reducing headspace is a packaging design trend that is now gaining traction. While at first, this small adjustment may seem insignificant, it makes space for added sustainability and economic benefits. If you're looking to maximise the full potential of rigid packaging designs, we've put together our thoughts to help you get started. Read here: https://lnkd.in/dcbXNTdR

A majority of EU governments have approved the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation of the European Parliament and Council that aims to reduce packaging waste, mandate recyclability and minimise harmful substances. However, the regulation has faced strong opposition from packaging associations, companies and bodies like the European Commission's trade directorate over the ban on single-use plastic packaging for produce under 1.5 kg and a controversial “mirror clause” effectively restricting imported recycled plastics. In our latest blog, we have described the implications of this regulation, especially on the fruit and vegetable supply chain. Read here: https://lnkd.in/djj2QSAN What are your thoughts on the PPWR? We welcome an open discussion. #SustainablePackaging #PlasticBan #PPWR #FreshProduce #FoodWaste #CircularEconomy #EURegulation

Happy International Day of Forests 2024! Today, let's celebrate the vital role forests play in sustaining life on Earth – from clean air to biodiversity, they're our lifeline. This year's theme, “Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World”, resonates deeply with us all. At AVI Global Plast, we would like to share how innovative practices can make a difference. The Miyawaki forest method, championed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, is a prime example. In our factory premises, we've created a lush Miyawaki forest spanning 9,000 sq. ft. with 2,500 native trees. This method isn't just about planting trees – it's about fostering biodiversity, enhancing air quality, and promoting sustainability. Join the conversation! Share your thoughts and ideas on how we can protect and preserve our forests. Together, let's plant the seeds of change! #ForestDay #IntlForestDay #GenerationRestoration #MiyawakiForest #GreenFuture #ForestConservation #InternationalDayOfForests #ForNature United Nations FAO UN Environment Programme
