    Any Content Writers/Managers here? Here’s a story: I joined Headsup as a freelance content writer. Got a PPO to join as the Lead Editorial Associate. 3 years, and it's been a year since I have been here as a D&I consultant. It is as crazy to have a career graph like this as it is to assume that your folks would give you such an opportunity. But then mine is one of the many such crazy stories at Headsup Corporation. Stories of faith, giving people a chance, asking them what they want to do, and giving them the wings to do it. I enjoyed my role in Content as much as I enjoy my role in DEI. In both, I was (am) encouraged to take risks, be a little controversial, and push my own boundaries further. I can say that for both, I was given the freedom to define the role more than the role defined me. That is the freedom of fluidity that a creative person gets at Headsup; the space to think, a space where your artistic eccentricities and expressions are embraced. We even have an exclusive club for such creative minds: The Creative Junta. And I am a proud Alum! Well, now as a Consultant in DEIB, I am designing solutions to address people's biases, lack of inclusive infrastructure and provisions, missing representation, lack of communities and safe spaces to belong...you get the idea. But if your demons are still a writer's block, that one synonym you can’t find, that idea that is just not clicking or the edits you must make to your precious work… JOIN US. I got a lot of opportunities to stare at a blank Google doc and write and edit till we got it right. I got a chance to manage content end-to-end and learn how to write to brand, to sell. You can have the next crazy graph, and be our next writer.  We have a lot to boast about what we do; we just need someone who can do it beautifully.     DEI is just a hashtag. Scroll through LinkedIn and every other Indian company is “committed to DEI” and “fosters an inclusive culture”, which is great👍 But still, employees are... 😢 Drowning in microaggressions and biases 🙊 Living in the fear of speaking up 😳 Getting afraid of losing their jobs for being pregnant 😨 Stuck with unfair performance reviews and limited career growth 💰 Surving with nonexistent benefits This leads to one thing that we call at Headsup Corporation: EMPLOYEE DRAIN We’re all tired of hypocrisy, hashtags and posts on social media which will be just poor use of content and design teams if employees NEVER experience any inclusion!     Seeking stories to build and nurture human capital.

    Six years at Headsup Corporation, a journey unplanned! Someone, well a colleague, recently remarked that he was waiting for my poem - for completing my six years at Headsup. This is something which I have been doing since day one at Headsup - documenting my experiences in the form of poems. But six years! This mark was something which was bugging me. Am I even doing this right? But my colleague’s remark made me realise that well, things are right. I still remember my first day. We have changed tables and offices, but people and values - same and beautiful. And this fourth Headsup’s offsite just made this realisation even clearer. So here it is, not a big ode, but just six lines to mark my six years at Headsup! Six years have flown, a whirlwind of growth,  From newbie to learner, lessons I have both learned and taught. Headsup is more than just a place to work,  It is friendships forged, a bond that truly perks.  Here’s to many more, with laughter and with cheer,  This team's a family (well..), year after year!

    Recently wrapped an amazing 3-day offsite in Mussorrie! Celebrating wins, reflecting on lessons learned, and most importantly, connecting with a fantastic bunch of people. 🚀 Funny, I never thought how much it would mean spending even 3 days with like-minded people and the social recharge it would give. Made me think about the rejuvenating power of association, mattering and tapping into our fundamental human need to belong. 👥👥 Belongingness is our social DNA in action; it demands to be felt included and accepted. Yet, it remains left out of many D&I conversations. There are a lot of D&I/DEI offerings out there - but not many that include Belonging.
