Do you use the digital wallets by Paytm, PhonePe or Amazon Pay? If you do, here's some great news for you. Soon, you'll be able to link these wallets, which are a type of Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI), with third-party UPI apps. This means that you can use any app to access the money in your wallet, not just the wallet issuer's app. Once this proposal comes into effect, making payments using wallets will become even more convenient and flexible. FSS CEO, Balasubramanian V speaks to the media about RBI's proposal to allow the distribution of CBDC through Non-bank Payment System Operations.
