In 1939, Shri V V Shunmuga Nadar founded VVS & SONS in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. He was a true visionary of his times as he founded multiple companies in various fields and was the chairman of quite a few of them as well. He also paid due diligence to the local community that helped him throughout his personal and business career by starting schools and colleges that were accessible by all. Our journey started eight decades ago, with the manufacture of Dhal and moved on to Gingelly oil when we first started, it was without industrial methodology. This provided us with the opportunity to discover and implement various ingenious methodologies which helped us maintain the consistency and authenticity of flavour and the quality of gingelly oil. Which in turn made VVS a brand name, popular in most households, and is considered the “GOLD” standard of Gingelly oil. VVS & SONS has always stayed in tune with the ever-changing times. All the manufacturing and packing technologies that have been implemented were benchmarked against very high standards of hygiene and in the retention of natural properties of Gingelly oil. Above all, our primary aim at VVS from inception to date has always been the manufacture of products that are only beneficial for the health and lifestyle of our customers. As a result, we have successfully diversified our product line to VVS Provita Energy Food (Sattu Maavu) made with sprouted beans, VVS Jyothi Holy Oil (made with 9 different oils), and VVS Tirupthi Kasthuri Manjal (made with 100% natural ingredients). Looking forward, we believe that we will reach more customers from all over the world by manufacturing products that are healthy and beneficial.
